2022: Opening of integrated operating rooms for 100 million rubles
At the end of March 2022, integrated operating rooms were opened in the Children's Republican Hospital in Petrozavodsk, in the creation of which about 100 million rubles were invested. The funds came from the federal and republican budgets, the press service of the government of Karelia said.
Modern devices, including digital endovideosurgical equipment, are provided in trauma and surgical laboratories. It transmits a continuous high-definition image that can be magnified tenfold. This allows you to monitor the functioning of internal organs on the screen in real time, carry out operations using low-traumatic methods.
These are all types of operations, including the use of laparoscopic and thoracoscopic surgery for children, including newborns. In addition, these complexes are equipped with a telemedicine system, which allows doctors to consult with colleagues from federal medical institutions during operations. The range of medical care for injuries and joint diseases in children has expanded.
In two days of work, hospital doctors performed surgical operations on 11 children, the youngest of whom is 4 years old.
A master class for doctors of Karelia in the new operating rooms was conducted by the scientific director of pediatric surgery of the Central Clinical Hospital of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, Professor Igor Kirgizov and the head physician of the Republican Children's Clinical Hospital of Chuvashia Anatoly Pavlov.
