Announcement of the availability of the marketplace for foreign food manufacturers

In early 2023, the GFC marketplace will become available for foreign food manufacturers. The company GFC announced this on August 29, 2022. The company is developing a mechanism that will allow Russian HoReCa market participants to fill the shortage of imported products that arose due to violation of logistic chains and the withdrawal of some companies Russian from the market. And manufacturers from,,, Asia or who Turkey India Iran Egypt want to enter the markets and others Russia will be able countries CIS to do this without losing time for lengthy negotiations and meetings with potential partners.

{{quote 'For the past 20 years, 99% of imported goods have ended up in restaurants in Russia along the chain: manufacturer - customs broker - importer - wholesale company in the region - restaurants But the problem is that either the largest international companies or those chosen by importers for various reasons are "making their way" to the Russian market - which is no more than 1-2% of the total number of people wishing to sell their products in Russia. We propose to directly connect a foreign manufacturer and regional food service companies that purchase products from importers. Thus, we are creating an alternative to parallel imports, "said Alexey Filchagin, Director of Marketplace Development at GFC.}}

Announcement of a marketplace for restaurants and hotels

On April 6, 2022, GFC announced that in March 2022, a B2B-Marketplace for manufacturers and suppliers of HoReCa was launched in Russia. The marketplace range includes more than 3,000 food items for HoReCa, offered by more than 300 suppliers. The GFC marketplace optimizes the process of searching and ordering products for restaurants and wholesale companies, allows you to save on purchases from 4-6% due to direct prices from suppliers and the presence of competitive environments in each group of goods. Platform participants, relying on analytics, can optimize the marginality of their business. Also, a feature of the GFC business model is the possibility of geographical scaling according to the franchise model, in which regional wholesale companies become part of the ecosystem, responsible for local warehouse and transport logistics, and the platform provides them with IT tools for doing business, as well as provides access to a wide range of goods. This, on the one hand, allows each of the participants to concentrate on their main competencies, and on the other hand, we have involved business owners as part of the marketplace, working simultaneously for ourselves and for the purpose of the platform.

told Vitaly Nacharkin, founder of the GFC marketplace

The GFC charged to the platform seller is just 2%. Given the small size of the commission, the task of the platform functionality is to multiply the sales of Suppliers. The supplier can independently or at the expense of the marketplace deliver the goods to a multi-temperature logistics hub, from where the goods are distributed to regional warehouses managed by platform franchisee partners.

For the Supplier, the Platform is a tool for developing sales throughout the country - it is enough only to bring the goods to the central distribution hub and put prices in the personal account for their products, and then the platform will do everything for the supplier "itself": will place the goods in a modern warehouse, send out thousands of restaurants and hundreds of food services companies about the goods, take the goods to the novelty section or product of the week so that it becomes more noticeable, launch SEO and contextual promotion, and after the products are ordered, organize delivery to the buyer.

A buyer in 24/7 mode can find the product of interest to him, compare the cost from different suppliers, see the real available quantity of goods for shipment and purchase either a wholesale batch of goods from the central logistics hub, using the services of a marketplace for organizing multi-temperature delivery to his region, or purchase a retail batch (any volume for an individual restaurant) from the regional warehouse of the platform with delivery directly to the restaurant door.

The process of placing an order and document flow are automated and take the buyer no more than 5 minutes. The platform presents in real time current prices directly from suppliers with a detailed description of the quality characteristics of the product. Also during the order process, Buyers can take advantage of preferential financing from the financial partner of the platform - Sberbank, which online (no more than 2 minutes) will decide on financing the order on the platform.

We are building a single IT ecosystem for all market participants - a platform that will integrate with the accounting systems of restaurants, regional franchisee partners and suppliers. By creating a common data loop and using modern AI and Machine learning technology, personal recommendation models will be available to each platform participant to optimize sales, prices and drains. As of April 2022, investments in the development and implementation of the platform amounted to more than 500 million rubles. By the end of 2022, it is planned to send at least 200 million rubles to product development alone.

The marketplace plans to bring the assortment to 10,000 positions for the restaurant business by the end of 2022. In the Moscow region, restaurants already have the opportunity, in addition to meat, fish, groceries, to order fresh vegetables and fruits on the platform.

As of April 2022, the GFC marketplace provides HoReCa market players with access to the assortment and provides logistics in 25 regions of the country. By the end of 2022, the service plans to increase its coverage to 50 regions.
