2022: Arrest in the case of fraud in the supply of medical equipment to the hospital

In April 2022, the Basmanny court Moscow arrested for two months the former adviser to the general director of "" United Instrument-Making Corporation(structure Rostec"") Alexei Repkin. He was charged under Part 4 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code (RUSSIAN FEDERATION fraud on an especially large scale) and Part 2 of Art. 165 of the Criminal Code (causing property damage by deception or abuse of trust).

According to Kommersant, Repkin blackmailed entrepreneurs, threatening to deprive them of the opportunity to execute a state contract worth almost 3 billion rubles for the supply of medical equipment for the central hospital in Nizhnevartovsk. We are talking about an agreement that was concluded between the concern of the radio building Vega (part of Rostec) and the company Medkom.

Thus, he received 15 million rubles from entrepreneurs, two Cadillac cars and even payment for his own flights in the amount of 200 thousand rubles. The investigation believes that he had no real impact on the implementation of the contract.

Repkin's case is being investigated by the department of the Investigative Committee of Russia, which usually investigates crimes committed by law enforcement officers: Kommersant claims that the person involved was previously an employee of the TFR's own security department.

Rostec told the newspaper that by April 11, 2022, Alexei Repkin was not working in the structures of the state corporation, stressing that she was assisting the investigation to identify and suppress illegal activities.
