2022: Bike Helmet Market Launch
On March 17, 2022, the Chinese manufacturer Relee released the Magician M1 helmet, calling it the world's first universal sports helmet with artificial intelligence (AI) and an integrated action camera.
The Magician M1 helmet is characterized by aerodynamic design, lightness and strength, has a replaceable shell on magnets, which is available in several colors. The helmet uses four layers of material and is capable of absorbing up to 90% of the impact energy. The 18 strategically positioned vents ensure the air permeability of the helmet and correct air circulation. It also has a waterproof class IP65, which means that it can be used during rain.
The Magician M1 is equipped with a built-in 120-degree wide-angle action camera capable of shooting video in FHD 1080p format, which allows you to easily record the travel process while driving. The manufacturer states that the camera behaves well in low light and is equipped with advanced EIS (electronic image stabilization) technology, which ensures smooth video during movement.
With a special application, you can instantly view the videos you shot. The helmet is also equipped with Bluetooth, a built-in microphone and stereo speakers. It can be used with voice control through a smartphone, regardless of whether you are a iOS or Android user. Magician M1 allows you to receive calls, play music or access Google Maps using a voice command. A battery with a capacity of 4500 mAh provides a continuous operation time of up to 18 hours.
Relee equipped the Magician M1 with bright front and rear lights, stop lights and turn signals, which can be activated using the included remote control. A flashlight with a brightness of 350 lumens is also built into the helmet, which can illuminate the road at a distance of 15 m (50 feet). The user can select either the built-in flashlight or the built-in action camera for the helmet.
The helmet remote control is versatile in terms of mounting options. It can be mounted on the wheel of a bicycle or fixed on the wrist if the device is used for climbing, hiking, and so on.
The Relee Magician M1 helmet with AI is available for purchase on Kickstarter, where it can be bought at an early price. You need to pay $80 for the flashlight version, and $170 for the action camera version. The estimated release date is May 2022.[1]
