2022: Exclusive View
On April 18, 2022, ITMO University announced that scientists at its National Center for Cognitive Development (NCCR) - the center for STI competencies - created a service for finding qualified specialists - Exclusive. Thanks to artificial intelligence technologies, it helps users quickly find experts with exclusive competencies, and making choices to minimize the risk of an incorrectly made decision.
High-tech markets are always faced with a shortage of qualified employees, especially when it comes to short-term, difficult-to-organize projects, to which it is necessary to quickly attract experts in a narrow subject area. Often, due to lack of time, hiring a person "blindly," counting on a "fight test" during the probationary period, is simply unacceptable, and it is necessary to form a team taking into account the remote mode of operation, since colleagues live in different cities, and the project is implemented without reference to geography.
The selection of exclusive specialists can also be complicated by the fact that they simply do not have an actual resume, since they are not in search of work, but are ready to consider incoming proposals. The proposed NCCR service not only finds the right candidate, but also draws up his profile, presented in a user-friendly graphic. The selection of the right employee begins with the search for relevant publications in journals indexed in large scientific databases. The system estimates the number of articles, co-authors, citations and patents, takes into account the h-index of the specialist.
After many potential employees have been formed, the service follows the "digital trace" of each of them. Focusing on full name, contact details and even photos, Exclusive searches for profiles of specialists in open sources, including social networks and specialized resources. Education, experience, professional skills and knowledge, as well as biography, circle of communication, interests, features of character, inclination and dependence - everything falls into the profile of the candidate.
"If the system lacks information in open sources to form a complete portrait, Exclusive will analyze the" gaps "and automatically suggest appropriate questions for interviews. This will allow a more thorough study of candidates. We believe that artificial intelligence technologies will help scientists and developers find each other and create strong, competitive teams, " explains Oleg Basov, project manager and scientifically research laboratory "Cognitive nonverbalika" at the National Center for Cognitive Development ITMO. |
In addition to directly looking for specialists, Exclusive helps evaluate their reliability. From the many indicators proposed by the developers, the employer can choose indicators that are important in terms of the specifics of his organization or the project being implemented. Focusing on them, the service will talk about the features, possible difficulties and limitations of the candidate. Specialists selected on the basis of the collected data are ranked.
The user can read the list and invite the interested candidates for the interview. Exclusive will prepare an attractive offer, raise questions for interviews and even "appreciate the honesty" of the interlocutor during. videoconferences neural network The transformer embedded in the service analyzes the expression of the face (position of the eyes, mouth, nose, eyebrows and facial muscles, etc.), as well as audio data (timbre voices and speech speed), removes foreign noise and ensures volume normalization. Based on the data obtained neuronet , it assesses the truth of a person's statements.
The technology is already being tested at ITMO University and its partner university, RANEPA, and is also being discussed in the scientific community. Already in May, researchers will open the acceptance of applications for free testing of the service for a wide audience.
