2022: Opening of the center

In April 2022, the largest radiation therapy center in Russia was launched in Novosibirsk, in which about 1.4 billion rubles were invested. The project was implemented by MedInvest Group.

The center is equipped with four linear Varian accelerators (two models - Halcyon and two - TrueBeam STX). Part of the equipment for the center was purchased under the national project "Healthcare," part - at the expense of MedInvest Group.

In the new center, patients are served by compulsory medical insurance, that is, free of charge - by the referral of the attending doctor. This can be done by two medical institutions - Novosibirsk City Clinical Hospital No. 1 and Novosibirsk Regional Clinical Oncological Dispensary. So far, about 3 thousand quotas have been allocated per year, in the future they plan to increase this number.

According to the governor of the Novosibirsk region Andrei Travnikov, the center can not only close the needs of residents of the Novosibirsk region in this type of medical services, but also provide assistance to residents of other entities and neighboring states. There is an opportunity for medical tourism for the macro-region Kazakhstan - Uzbekistan - Tajikistan.

According to Sergey Notov, President of MedInvest Group Group of Companies, the company also plans to launch a clinical and diagnostic center in the region with an outpatient oncological care center with an area of ​ ​ 3.5 thousand square meters. m, as well as to implement a project to create an oncological dispensary.

According to TASS, cancer mortality in the Novosibirsk region is in third place after cardiovascular diseases and injuries. In the region, the task is to reduce mortality by 2024 to 195 people per 100 thousand population. In 2020, the mortality rate from cancer was 241.76 cases per 100 thousand people, in 2021 - 222.7 cases per 100 thousand people.[1]
