2019: Infor SCE Implementation WMS v.10.3

Siberian Gourmet is one of the largest producers of frozen semi-finished products in Russia. The company has been represented on the food market since 1995. At the moment, it occupies a leading position in sales from the Urals to the Far East with a production volume of 40,000 tons of products per year.

In 2019, the warehouse management system Infor SCE version 10 was introduced at the warehouse site.

The storage area is refrigerating logistic a terminal with a total storage area of 1604 square meters. m and a storage temperature of -20 ° C. In addition to its own finished products, the warehouse complex is used to store third-party goods, raw materials, as well as transshipment of third-party products and logistics goods.

During the work on the project, Logikon experts conducted a deep analysis of business processes. The developed strategies made it possible to adapt the warehouse management system to the requirements of the business as much as possible.

Key features of the project include the following:

Flexible mapping mechanism

Mapping in the warehouse system determines which item and how much it can be put in the packing box. Thus, it helps to form suitable selection boxes for certain selections according to the weight and size and other characteristics of the selected goods.

This project uses three characteristics for mapping:

  • Mixing in one box of more than X goods is prohibited.
  • All goods in the packing box must have one shelf life.
  • Whether you can mix merchandise groups in the selection box or not.

The algorithm can be changed using a combination of these features. Thus, the mapping parameters for different consignees can be varied.

Automation of acceptance integration production information with the system

In addition to integration with the management system, integration with the production information system is implemented. Using integration with production, WMS receives acceptance documents that already contain article attributes:

  • Name.
  • Party.
  • Shelf life.
  • Quantity.

During the acceptance operation, the warehouse employee must scan the pallet ID, check the information against the mobile station readings, and only confirm compliance.

By using integration, you can reduce the labor burden for warehouse employees and avoid errors in receiving.

Automatic blocking of certain products due to production requirements

When finished, hot products (such as pancakes) are automatically blocked for shipment for three hours. After this time, the product is automatically released and available for shipment.

Additional marking for forwarding agent

In addition to the standard pallet shipping label, a set of labels for each of the boxes is additionally printed. These labels contain information not barcode, but verbal. Labels on boxes help the forwarder find the right product with the right shelf life for the right customer.

Using additional markings eliminates errors and significantly speeds up the unloading process.

"Flight Plan." An additional module that combines shipping orders into flights using pre-defined algorithms. Allows you to process flights in waves and online track flight processing information. It is also associated with billing, which allows you to track the performance of operations performed by employees in the warehouse. This module was supplemented with the "Claims Handling" functionality, which allows you to quickly view information on claims from customers for the delivered products. Since it is necessary to organize a balance check (inventory) for each claim, this module allows you to generate cyclic inventory tasks according to specific parameters for controllers. After the inventory is completed, the complaint response is also processed through the module and transferred to the main system by integration. "Flight Plan" is an additional module, which is a separate software developed by Logikon for individual customer requests. January 28, 2022 registered in the Russian registry of computer programs under the name "Logistic Console." This software is described here.
