On March 15, 2022, Ctrl2GO Solutions, a developer and provider of digital solutions for managing equipment, processes and people at industrial enterprises, announced the conclusion of an agreement with the Uchalinsky Mining and Processing Plant to implement the SmartAdvisor solution.

According to the company, the goal of introducing SmartAdvisor at the Uchalinsky Mining and Processing Plant is to stabilize and optimize the efficiency of the copper-zinc ore processing process and predict the yield of concentrates. A digital advisor will be used to minimize the loss of valuable copper components.

The digital advisor will optimize decision making and reduce the likelihood of errors in the flotation process by operators, and will also allow predicting enrichment indicators when changing process parameters. This project is being implemented within the framework of the UMMC digital transformation program. told Dmitry Boychenko, head of the enrichment plant of Uchalinsky GOK JSC

As part of the project, Ctrl2GO Solutions experts and design engineers will supply and implement instrumentation into the mill's production chain, and develop and implement an intelligent system that will collect and accumulate process data and provide recommendations for managing the enrichment process based on the information collected.

The specificity of the project lies in the fact that several types of ores with different contents of a valuable component are processed at the Uchalinsky processing plant. The implemented solution should take this into account, constantly analyze the many parameters that determine the variety of raw materials, and be able to quickly change the recommendations depending on the type of ore.

According to the results of the implementation, UGOC plans to increase the indicators of copper extraction and control technological losses.

The project is designed for 1.5 years and involves several stages of work: after retrofitting the enterprise with instrumentation, the SmartAdvisor functionality will be developed and adapted for work at the plant, and then the pilot operation of the solution will be launched.
