2022: Launch of the Private Cloud as a Service Project

On April 26, 2022, Liberum Navitas, the Russian center for the design, construction and operation of data centers and cloud infrastructure, announced the launch of the Private Cloud as a Service service. This initiative is intended for any Russian enterprises interested in ensuring uninterrupted operation and development. This is relevant, since the supply of "iron" is difficult or limited, and repair and service work is carried out intermittently due to the lack of necessary components.

As part of the service, Liberum Navitas (LN) assumes the necessary responsibilities related to the virtualization of all business processes performed on the customer's equipment. This assumes the transfer of the server fleet and storage to the LN management. In turn, it provides the solution of the problems of effective operation of such a fleet, its repair, maintenance and renewal.

The foundation of the service provision is a complex of own and partner capacities: these are real objects for the transfer of equipment (data centers) and the competence to create cloud services on a limited hardware base. These opportunities are being implemented as part of the Liberum Navitas project to create a federal data center network ( 15 key Russian regions).

The organizations that will use this service solve the following problems:

  • 1. Utilization of available computing capacity of existing equipment;
  • 2. Protecting processes and information, minimizing hardware failures due to overload;
  • 3. Fast transition, without disrupting the standard business.

According to Liberum Navitas, the transition to Private Cloud as a Service is a solution for domestic enterprises that can offset the negative consequences of market restrictions in a relatively short time. The LN client can increase the payload (disposal) of existing equipment by assigning all actions necessary for virtualization to its partner. An additional advantage for the customer is the ability to drastically reduce the cost of training personnel and free up time to find the optimal technological solution and its implementation.

The preparation and testing of this service began at the end of last year; its effectiveness has received practical confirmation in the framework of projects with Russian companies, including those working in the field of information security and the provision of communication services. The large-scale launch of the Private Cloud as a Service project in capitals and key regions of Russia is scheduled for May this year.
