Luddites

Luddites (from English luddites) - a movement among English workers who protested against impoverishment in the conditions of the industrial revolution. They considered cars to be the culprit of their troubles, allegedly because of the use of which they were deprived of their jobs. For this reason, they fought for the destruction of machines and equipment that entrepreneurs tried to install in factories and factories. The name of the movement comes from the name of Ned Ludz, who was credited with the initiative in organizing this form of labor protest.
