The implementation of the project will reduce iron losses in tailings and optimize technological operations. The estimated economic effect will be more than 200 million rubles.

The program will operate in conjunction with the existing Quarry dispatch system. The Geometallurgy project involves the determination of the qualitative characteristics of the rock mass in each submerged excavator ladle. Having data on the quality of ore of each dump truck,  the plant will be able to achieve optimal composition already at transshipment points in the quarry - the raw materials ready for processing will go to the processing plant.     At the enrichment plant, the project involves quality control using a special complex of electronic equipment. It will monitor the quality of raw materials at the initial, intermediate and final stages.

To implement the project, it is planned to include railway equipment in the dispatch system.

The Geometallurgy project  will allow you to optimize technological operations. We expect that such a system will improve the stability of the quality of ore entering the concentration plant. We also plan  to introduce a digital advisor to select optimal technological modes based on batch quality data. We expect that through digitalization we will increase iron recovery without loss of quality, " noted vice president of Eurasia, head of the Ural division Denis Novozhenov.
