The Spanish telecommunications holding OliveNet purchased a Russian robot for the sale of SIM cards. We are talking about the development of Promobot, the amount of the contract at the first stage amounted to 50 thousand euros.
Promobot started working at one of the OliveNet customer service centers in Barcelona. The robot is endowed with remote self-identification technology, thanks to which customers can receive SIM cards themselves. The robot issues a "sim" to the client and gives registration instructions, the client registers through the robot or mobile application and activates the SIM card.
It is explained that the robot helps at all stages: it explains how to download the application and register, and also supports conversation on any topic using a dialogue system and linguistic base in Spanish and English.
It is planned that with the successful implementation of the pilot project, it scales to 10 robots in different cities of Spain. The potential amount of the contract in this case can reach 500 thousand euros.
Oleg Kivokurtsev, Promobot Development Director, commenting on the deal with OliveNet, noted that the Russian company is constantly developing new projects for the use of robots together with customers. In addition to basic functions - supporting conversation, autonomous movement, consulting - Promobot robots support integrations with various systems and third-party applications. Thus, the company can expand the functionality of robots, as in the case of Spanish colleagues, he added.
Promobot combines two technologies: automated issuance of SIM cards and quick registration of a subscriber through an application. This helps us to quickly and safely issue new SIM cards to everyone. Such a robot seller helps us develop innovations in the field of sales, "said Javier Medrano, a specialist at the OliveNet Technology Center. |
