2022: Leaving Moderna
On May 11, 2022, Moderna announced that its chief financial officer Jorge Gomez left his post a day after his former employer Dentsply Sirona reported an internal investigation related to financial reporting. Gomez's appointment was announced in April 2022, and it entered into force on May 9, 2022.
The investigation into dental manufacturer Dentsply Sirona focused on the use of a bonus system to sell products to distributors, as well as whether these incentives were correctly taken into account.
In April 2022, Dentsply also fired its former CEO Don Casey without explanation.
Moderna said that recently retired CFO David Melain will return to his duties as CFO.
Gomez was not available for comment in the LinkedIn, and Moderna did not provide additional comments except for the press release and statement.
