Committee on Transport and Road Facilities of the Pskov Region

The Committee on Transport and Road Facilities of the Pskov Region is the executive authority of the region, exercising state-power powers of an executive and administrative nature in the field of transport and road facilities.

Tasks of the department

• The main tasks of the Committee in the field of transport for May 2022 are:
  • formation of a strategy for the development of the transport and logistics complex of the region;

• coordination of interaction between organizations providing transport services to the population of the region by various modes of transport;
  • creating conditions to meet the needs of the population for transport services that meet safety requirements;
  • organization of regular transportation of passengers and baggage by road on inter-municipal routes of regular transportation and by rail in suburban traffic in the region

• The main tasks of the Committee in the field of road facilities are:
  • conducting a unified state policy in the field of road economy of the region, including in the field of using regional or inter-municipal roads of the Pskov region, carrying out road activities in relation to roads and ensuring road safety on roads;
  • development of the road network in the interests of road users and meeting the needs of the regional economy;
  • creation of conditions to ensure safe and uninterrupted movement of vehicles on roads, safety of roads, increase their throughput, environmental safety and improve transport and operational condition;

• coordination of the activities of the executive authorities of the region, local self-government bodies of municipalities of the region and organizations for ensuring road safety on roads in the region.
