2022: Launch of production of consumables for blood analyzers for 50 million rubles

At the end of May 2022, the Astra Research and Production Center (SPC) launched a production line for the production of plastic consumables for blood clotting analyzers in the BashInvest industrial park in Ufa. About 50 million rubles were invested in this joint project with the Ordamed group (it purchased machines and equipment for the production of medical devices).

On the new production line, cuvettes will be poured for blood coagulation analyzers of the KoaTest series: single-channel KoaTest-1, two-channel KoaTest-2, four-channel KoaTest-4, automatic KoaTest-Auto.

Production of consumables for blood analyzers launched in Ufa

The production capacity is estimated at 4 million units per year, the company plans to bring the analyzer itself to the market in 2022.

It is noted that by May 2022, the blood clotting analyzer, made by the hands of Ufa engineers, is in almost every tenth laboratory in the country. But for the use of such equipment, a cuvette of a certain shape is required. Such consumables are made on a special machine.

Cuvettes are a consumable analysis for our analyzers, they are disposable. We need 2.5-3 million a year, "says Vladimir Patosin, director of the Astra research and production center. - If you consider the future development of an automatic analyzer, you can multiply this number by two.

The basis for the manufacture of cuvettes was optical glass, which is produced in Nizhnekamsk.

Astra produces one-, two- and four-channel analyzers for determining blood coagulation parameters under the KoaTest brand, as well as urine analyzers and a device for electrophoresis of blood serum proteins. Over 25 years of operation, more than 2 thousand units of semi-automatic analyzers have been produced, which are installed in most regional laboratories.[1]
