2022: Hisense announces 4K multi-color projector

On May 31, 2022, Hisense introduced the Hisense Vidda C1 projector. The Chinese manufacturer called its product the world's first 4K multi-color screen projector.

The Hisense Vidda C1 is capable of displaying visual information with brightness up to 1350 ANSI lumens, and the gamut of the color palette reaches 202% in the BT.709 color range. The accuracy of color reproduction is relatively high - △ E≈0,9, and the color depth is 10 bits.

The projector supports the refresh rate to 240 Hz, uses the technology of increasing the refresh rate when moving MEMC, decodes HDR 10 + visual information and displays it accordingly.

The Hisense Vidda C1 is powered by a MediaTek MT9669 SoC with 4GB of RAM + 64GB of internal storage. With built-in CMOS and ToF sensors, the projector can collect data from the environment and then use artificial intelligence to automatically calibrate an on-screen image for the best multimedia experience. For example, a screen projector can automatically calibrate focus, tilt alignment, screen size, and orientation depending on the conditions around it.

Hisense's marketing materials say the recommended projection size of the Vidda C1 is 80 ~ 150 inches. Thanks to a nominal delay of only 12 ms and support for refresh rates up to 240 Hz, the proctor can be used instead of a monitor.

Among other things, the Hisense Vidda C1 screen projector is equipped with a dual stereo speaker system with 2 10W speakers located on the outside. The speakers support Dolby Atmos and dts Hi-Res audio for consumers who prefer richer and more surround sound.

The Hisense Vidda C1 screen projector will officially go on sale from June 15, 2022 and will be available for just 6,999 yuan ($1,051) during its first sale.[1]
