Content

Task

To optimize some of the internal processes of Roscosmos, it was necessary to create a corporate knowledge management system. It was supposed to combine several subsystems in different areas and become a source of information for employees, a single platform for training and communication.

Execution

The company has set the following objectives:

  • Develop two new systems - monitoring the labor market and tracking the effectiveness of industry educational institutions in the rocket and space industry.
  • Integrate existing and new systems into the LMS (Learning Management System).

All sections of the system are developed from scratch. To ensure that employees always have a list of professional requirements and career goals before their eyes, a large reference book of specialist requirements, a collection of tests for qualification and a database of vacancies are combined in one section.

To make employees move faster along the career track, the competency designer is integrated into the system. Now everyone can choose and group the professional skills that they need for advanced training.

So that the employee can choose and compare universities and areas of study, it is added to representatives of educational institutions the opportunity to independently publish data about them.

The learning process itself is also simplified. The accounts have access to systems: employee development, training plan, curriculum catalog, teacher data, electronic courses. Employees can undergo self-test testing, enroll in an exam, and obtain a certificate of completion of distance learning.

The employee's personal account now looks like a social media profile. Here, people microblogging, managing subscriptions and browsing colleague profiles. They can organize meetings, events, set tasks and share news.

Result

  • Several new systems have been developed and integrated together with existing ones into a single digital LMS space.
  • Training and career development processes are automated.
  • Optimized accounting of the database, documents and interactive catalogs within the company.
  • It became possible to communicate and share experience in professional communities. Simplified their interaction with the company and with each other
  • Tens of thousands of hours were saved for hundreds of employees of the rocket and space industry.
