2022: Sentence to seven years in prison
On June 14, 2022, the Novgorod District Court sentenced Oleg Bandurov, the former director of the local social rehabilitation center "Teenager," to seven years in prison.
According to the investigation, from November 2013 to September 2014, a previously convicted local entrepreneur, with the complicity of the ex-director of the rehabilitation center for adolescents Oleg Bandurov, raped his pupil, and also received sexual services from minors.
The ex-head of the center was aware of the crimes and supplied his pupils to the man despite the fact that he knew that he had a criminal record for similar crimes. He performed these actions so as not to pay for the services of the entrepreneur provided to the center. The businessman installed and served television equipment in the "Teenager" for free, clarifies Interfax"."
The Investigative Committee brought charges against Bandurov and his accomplice under Articles 286 (abuse of office with grave consequences), 33 and 133 (aiding in forcing a minor to act sexually), 131 (rape of a minor), 240.1 (receiving sexual services from a minor) and 134 (sexual intercourse with a person under the age of 16) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The businessman went to cooperate with the investigation. The entrepreneur was previously sentenced by the court to 8 years and 7 months in prison.
According to the Novgorod Ministry of Internal Affairs, Bandurov is a former police officer. With the rank of colonel, he led the Chudovsky district department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Novgorod Region. Bandurov was awarded the medal "For Impeccable Service" and the badge "For Excellent Service in the USSR Ministry of Internal Affairs."
At the end of the prison term for 2 years, Bandurov is forbidden to engage in activities related to the upbringing, training, social rehabilitation of minors.[1]
