2022: Launch of ESG self-diagnostics

Sberbank has launched ESG self-diagnostics for companies based on artificial intelligence technologies. This was announced on June 15, 2022 by the First Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of Sberbank Alexander Vedyakhin.

This ESG service allows companies to assess the state of their affairs in the field of environmental protection, social responsibility and the quality of corporate governance, as well as compare them with competitors.

You can conduct ESG self-diagnostics on the SberPro website. The company representative needs to indicate its name, industry, annual revenue and TIN. Next, it is proposed to fill out an ESG questionnaire of 36 questions divided into three blocks.

E - issues related to the company's environmental and climate impact. The focus is on compliance with regulatory norms, interest in low-carbon development and reducing the negative impact on the environment.

S - issues in the field of social factors related to the quality of relations with personnel, contractors, counterparties, etc. These include occupational safety, the company's ability to retain specialists, and compliance with consumer rights.

G - issues in the field of corporate governance, evaluating the business practices and internal processes of the company.

After completing the questionnaire, the neural network will analyze and evaluate the maturity of ESG practices in the company in comparison with relevant players in the market. Together with the assessment, the client will receive personalized recommendations for improvement in each of the ESG areas, which will help increase the sustainability and investment attractiveness of the business.
