2022: Implementation of the "Antinazd" system

On July 16, 2022, RealTrac Technologies announced that it had introduced the Antinazd collision prevention system at Karelsky Okatysh JSC.

In 2021, JSC Karelsky Okatysh, an iron ore mining and processing plant part of PAO Severstal, conducted an analysis of occupational safety and health at the enterprise and revealed an increase in the number of accidents at open-pit mining facilities. So, in 2020 there were 15 dangerous situations with career equipment, and in 2021 their number increased to 27. As a result, Karelsky Okatysh JSC decided to pay special attention to road safety.

As part of the project "Elimination of fatal injuries," pilot tests of collision prevention systems were carried out, as a result of which the Antinazd system was chosen - the development of RealTrac Technologies. As part of the implementation project, 20 dump trucks operating in the quarries of Karelsky Okatysh JSC were equipped. 15 shift buses were also equipped with special tags that interact with the Antinazd system. Another 15 time tags were pre-configured and transferred to the specialists of the enterprise for self-installation on any equipment operating in the quarry. As a result of the operation of the system, drivers of mine dump trucks are notified of a potentially dangerous approach, and it can be prevented. Thanks to continuous monitoring of the position of the equipment relative to each other, drivers know the direction of approach with other equipment and can take the right actions in advance to prevent the development of a dangerous situation. This will improve the safety of personnel and the level of labor protection at the enterprise.

This will help prevent possible accidents, including due to the presence of equipment within a radius of closer than 50 meters, in the so-called "danger zone."
