KAMAZ"" June 17, 2022 reported the transfer to the MUP Sochiautotrans"" electrobus KAMAZ-6282 for test operation on the streets of the city.

The presentation of the KAMAZ electric bus was attended by the vice-mayor of Sochi Nikolay Beskrovny, deputy director of the passenger transport department of KAMAZ PJSC Shamil Zaripov, director of the transport and road facilities department of the Sochi administration Vyacheslav Bauer, director of the Sochiavtotrans municipal unitary enterprise Anatoly Mukhomor and other leaders. The participants of the event examined the interior of the electric bus and the driver's cab, and also appreciated the smooth movement and silent operation of the electric transport during the short trip.

In Sochi, 2022 is declared the Year of Ecology. We have taken this decision very seriously and intend to radically revise our attitude to the environment, on which human economic activity, primarily in the transport sector, has a certain impact. First of all, in the resort city it is necessary to take decisive steps to reduce the level of exhaust gases. We make a big bet on this issue on public transport, which works on electricity, as well as the development of a network of charging stations. During the presentation of the symbolic key from the electric bus, Deputy Director of the Passenger Transport Department of KAMAZ PJSC Shamil Zaripov noted the environmental and economic advantages of innovative electric transport.

A test copy of the KAMAZ electric bus has already successfully passed pilot operation in Kazan, Belgorod, Ufa, Perm. The electric bus is comfortable for passengers and cost-effective for carriers, so it is not surprising that in all these cities we received only positive reviews. Now it is Sochi's turn, and, I hope, the residents of the city, as well as tourists, will appreciate all the qualities of our electric transport, - said Shamil Zaripov.

The electric bus will KAMAZ-6282 run in test mode for two months on the city (circular) route No. 17 "Yubileiny Cinema - Yubileiny Cinema." An ultrafast charging station is installed on the territory of the bus fleet to charge it. Following the results of the controlled operation of the electric bus, KAMAZ and Sochiavtotrans specialists will conduct an expert assessment, after which the issue of further cooperation will be decided.

The transition to environmentally friendly municipal transport is an important part of the ecological project of the Sochi administration, as early as June 2022, more than 100 methane-powered buses run in the city.
