Project date: 2022/06

As it became known in June 2022, the Russian mining management system was introduced at the largest iron ore quarry in Peru. We are talking about a project that was implemented by the Zyfra Group of Companies commissioned by the Peruvian company Cosapi Mineria.

The mining production management system of ASU GTC "Quarry" was deployed at the Markona deposit (in the province of Nazca), which has been in operation since the 50s of the XX century and has the largest reserves of iron ore in Peru and in the world. Markona is owned by the state-owned Chinese company Shougang.

Thanks to the implemented solutions, it was possible to increase the production efficiency of the enterprise by more than 3.5%. In the process of trial operation, it was proved that greater productivity is achieved when working with a full fleet of equipment in an open cycle, noted in "Zyfra."

Zyfra has implemented fuel consumption monitoring, operational and downtime monitoring, remote diagnostics, safety management, fuel cycle monitoring and drilling monitoring. A road quality control module was also deployed at the facility. The system points to problematic areas of the road surface, which allows you to quickly eliminate them. This solution allows you to increase the average speed of dump trucks, as well as reduce negative impacts on equipment and extend its service life.

As part of the project, "Zyfra" automated the mining management system and equipped 39 units of equipment: 29 dump trucks, four electric quarry machlobs, one excavator, four drilling rigs and one front loader.

It was a unique project for us. First, this is our first project in Latin America. Secondly, at the facility, we first introduced a rock accounting pilot. At this field, our team learned to register rocks inside the well and, as a result, collect statistics on the drilling rates of different rocks, - said Pavel Rastopshin, Managing Director of Zyfra Group of Companies .
