Developers who often met SmartCaptcha on the sites of Market or Kinopoisk began to often make requests to place the service on third-party web resources. Having made sure that there is a need, and having tested the "capcha" on high-load Yandex services, we decided to provide it according to the service model for everyone, - said Mikhail Fedorov, product development manager at Yandex SmartCaptcha.

Yandex has launched an analogue of "captcha" for external sites to protect against attacks

Yandex SmartCaptcha allows you to protect sites from robots, bogus registrations, spam and DDoS attacks. The system provides machine learning algorithms to help companies avoid falling traffic on the site. More than 50% of users will not have to spend time passing the "captcha" tests, it will be enough to click "I am not a robot," Yandex explained. If the ML algorithm nevertheless suggests entering characters, then in 85% of cases a person recognizes text the first time, and for bots the task will remain difficult. This became possible due to the fact that for additional verification SmartCaptcha independently generates random phrases, and does not use real pictures with text, the company added.

It is also noted that Yandex SmartCaptcha can be customized on the website of any company. For example, choose the level of complexity of the text in the "capcha" - easy, medium, hard. In addition, in the service you can customize a unique visual style, change the background, frames and labels in the interface.

Yandex cited data from Barracuda Networks, according to which by June 2022, robots generate up to 64% of Internet traffic on sites, with 39% of them malicious.
