On June 22, 2022, it became known about the creation in Russia of a unified register of individuals affiliated with foreign agents. The Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation will be responsible for its jurisdiction.
According to TASS, the State Duma Committee on Security and Anti-Corruption approved the creation of a single register of individuals affiliated with foreign agents as part of amendments to the second reading of the bill summarizing the norms of legislation on foreign agents. According to the document, an individual who is (was) a member of a legal entity or public association recognized as a foreign agent is recognized as affiliated with it. Also, an individual who carries out (carried out) "political activities and receives (received) funds and (or) other property from foreign agents, including through intermediaries, to carry out political activities" can be recognized as affiliated with a foreign agent.
In total, the State Duma Committee on Security and Anti-Corruption proposed 14 amendments for adoption, 13 of which were introduced by the authors of the bill, another belongs to the deputy from United Russia Elena Yampolskaya.
Amendments to the bill expand the list of foreign sources for receiving support (financial or "assistance in other forms") from which you can be recognized as a foreign agent. The amendments will include not only foreign states, international organizations and people receiving money from such sources, but also "foreign structures without the formation of a legal entity," follows from the supported amendment of LDPR deputy Andrei Lugovoi.
