Bashneft passes from 1C to SAP

In Bashneft the three-year program for transformation of business processes of six enterprises of fuel and energy complex of the Republic of Bashkortostan based on the SAP solution ERP starts. The project will cover the following enterprises of group: Bashneft Production, Ufaneftekhim, Novoil, "UNPZ", Ufaorgsintez and Bashkirnefteprodukt.

Global upgrade of IT infrastructure of Bashneft was initiated by new owners of the company, AFK "Sistema", practically right after acquisition of a new asset. Respectively, in Bashneft other child structure of System - Sitronics company will be engaged in SAP implementation.

In addition to transfer on new the ERP enterprises of Bashneft construction "from scratch" of uniform DPC of the high level of reliability, integration of separate transport networks of communication and data transmission into a single network, transfer of all divisions at ITSM is planned. It is not the complete list of projects which already started. It is going to implement these innovations in extremely short time.

As representatives of Bashneft reported TAdviser, prior to the beginning of the ERP project at the heart of IT infrastructure of Bashneft solutions of 1C and KSAUP Lexema were used, now the company will refuse their use. As the new uniform IT platform in addition to SAP ERP was considered also by Oracle E-Business Suite.

The main task of transformation of business processes and their automation based on a single platform – creation of the vertically integrated oil and gas company, note in Bashneft. Using SAP solutions it is going to automate the majority of key spheres of activity: from sales and transport transactions, planning, before accounting and tax accounting, management of finance, stocks, purchasing activity so further.

According to the vice president of Bashneft for IT Igor Kalyuzhny, the new platform "will connect together basic processes at the enterprise, will accelerate process of closing of financial statements, will reduce costs due to centralization and automation of a number of processes", and, therefore, increase in the operating room efficiency of activity is expected.

"Project scale in Bashneft and its innovation component are very big", - the vice president of JSC Sitronics Boris Wolpe said. Bashneft specifies that all in head and subsidiary companies will be connected to SAP of 2735 users. This more than a quarter of all jobs which are available in group. The program of implementation of a complex of SAP in Bashneft is expected 3 years, till 2013. Contract amount the parties does not reveal.
