History
2023: Albatross reconnaissance drone production begins
The Albatros company has established in Korolev near Moscow the production of reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicles, which are designed to conduct reconnaissance and track the movement of enemy equipment in the zone of special military operation (SVO) in Ukraine. Such UAVs develop, design and assemble independently. The press service of the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Science of the Moscow Region announced this on October 19, 2023.
It is noted that photos and videos from UAVs are transmitted in real time, which allows you to make quick decisions. One of the models of drones of the Albatross company was developed specifically for searching and rescuing people lost in the forest. The device is able to recognize people when shooting at any time of the day and in any weather conditions, regardless of the complexity of the route. If signs of a missing person are found in the photo, then the device instantly transmits the image with exact coordinates to the ground station. This allows you to significantly reduce the search area and immediately move to the specified territory.
As noted in the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Science of the Moscow Region, earlier the Albatros company produced unmanned aerial vehicles, which were used to provide aerial photography and video surveillance services in the oil and gas sector, construction, transport infrastructure, electricity, agriculture and forestry.
In June 2023, TASS reported that 50 new long-range unmanned aerial reconnaissance systems Albatros M5 are used in the special operation zone to calculate and destroy strongholds of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). The article said that "Albatross M5" is used to track the movement of any equipment in the special operation zone. Video from the device is transmitted in real time, based on the received data, the location point of the enemy's reference point is determined, which is taken under control to confirm the collected information.[1]

The company is assisted in selecting a land plot for the implementation of the investment project, Moscow Region Development Corporation (KRMO) which announced this on September 7, 2022.
The total investment of Albatros in the implementation of the project will amount to 35 million rubles. The drones that Albatros produces are used to provide aerial photography and video surveillance services in the oil and gas sector, construction, transport infrastructure, electricity, agriculture and forestry.
We can calculate the number of animals in the reserve or the number of fish in the lake. Although this task is not easy, but, nevertheless, we can fulfill it. There are services that are tied to a specific time of year. For example, you can count the number of Baikal seals only in spring, while the lake is covered with ice and individuals crawl out of their holes, and you need to fly over the rivers of the Far East at the end of summer, when Pacific salmon enter to spawn in shallow water. The photography materials obtained during the flights are processed by software based on artificial intelligence. From 1,000 to 20,000 hectares can be examined in one flight. This is much more effective than considering animals as traditional methods and much cheaper than using manned aviation for this task, "said Alexey Florov, General Director of Albatros LLC. |
One of the drones was designed to search and rescue people. The device combines a camera and a microcomputer: an on-board computer receives photos and then processes them using a neural network.
It is very important for us that, with the participation of the Moscow Region Development Corporation, Russian manufacturers of high-tech products using innovative equipment are planning to expand their production facilities in the region. In addition to selecting a land plot, KRMO specialists provided Albatros with detailed advice on federal and regional measures of state support, "said Vladimir Slipenkin, General Director of the Moscow Region Development Corporation. |
