The winery launched its first wine in 2019 - merlot, shiraz and chardonnay. Wine under the Mantra brand was first presented at the Metro Expo in 2019, at the same time it became known that Simple received a contract for the distribution of wines.

2017

In 2017, the company bought plots from Lefkadia, the latter is also engaged in the production of wine under the Mantra brand according to the commercial winemaking scheme.

2016

Mantra LLC began to be interested in wine production in 2016. The Mantra company, associated with the wife of the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov Natalia, plans to engage in winemaking in the Krasnodar Territory. According to market participants, this structure intends to purchase a vineyard with an area of about 100 hectares, which can become the basis for farming in the field of wine tourism. Mantra LLC was registered in Gelendzhik on November 21, 2016, follows from the data of the Unified State Register of Legal Entities. Among the activities of the company, grape cultivation and wine production are indicated. The new legal entity belongs to Financial Systems LLC, which is controlled on a parity basis by Cypriot Quesoil Ltd and Guylen Investments Ltd. Market participants associate Financial Systems with the wife of Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov Natalya Manturova. According to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, the general director of the company Yevgeny Maksimov also heads and owns the Center for Plastic and Endoscopic Surgery LLC: it manages the Moscow clinic Lancet and previously belonged to Mrs. Manturova. Mr. Maksimov declined to comment. The interest of Mantra in the production of wine is known to the winemakers of the Krasnodar Territory interviewed by Kommersant. According to one of them, the company is exploring the possibility of buying a valid vineyard with an approximate area of 100 hectares, but there are no specific agreements yet. Mantra CEO Viktor Kiselev confirmed that the company is planning a wine project in the region, declining to comment in detail. President of the Union of Winegrowers and Winemakers of Russia Leonid Popovich estimated the cost of the average operating vineyard with an area of 100 hectares in the Krasnodar Territory at 100-150 million rubles. At the same time, according to him, a farm in the Black Sea near Gelendzhik can cost 20 times more. Mr. Popovich does not exclude that after the purchase of the farm, it may be necessary to transfer, since each vineyard is created for the needs of a specific owner.

Natalia Manturova's alleged assets in Gelendzhik are related to medicine, real estate and the hotel business, the industry magazine Vademecum wrote in March. According to the publication, the structures affiliated with it manage the Primorye boarding house, including the Primorye SPA Hotel & Wellness, and are also planning to build a center specializing in diagnostics, rehabilitation, cosmetology, plastic surgery, and the Fellini townhouse complex. The volume of investments in two projects is more than 2.3 billion rubles, Vademecum specified. "Mantra" is registered in the SPA Hotel & Wellness building adjacent to Primorye, follows from the Unified State Register of Legal Entities.

Director of CIFRRA Vadim Drobiz suggests that at first Mantra will pour wine at an already operating plant under its own trademarks. The launch of the project, depending on the quality of the vineyard, may take one to two years. Given the owner's experience in the hotel business, the asset can become the basis for the construction of an economy in the field of wine tourism with a hotel and a restaurant, the expert adds.

In October of this year, it became known that the wine project is planned by the founder and main owner of the largest Russian food retailer Magnit, Sergei Galitsky. According to market participants, his company "Russian Terroir" is negotiating the purchase of an existing vineyard with an area of about 70 hectares in the Anapa region from one of the winemaker's farms Valery Loginov and may launch its own production within six months.
