Terroir

The plant and cultivated land are located in the resort area of ​ ​ the Russian Federation. The climate of Derbent is transitional from temperate to subtropical semi-dry. The climate is influenced by the Caspian Sea, due to which autumn is long and warm, and spring comes with a delay. Winter is mild, snow lasts only two weeks a year. Summers are long and hot.

History

2013

During the first half of 2013, an additional 500 hectares of land were equipped with a land irrigation system. And work began on the restoration of vineyards in one of the oldest grape farms in Russia - Gejukh.

2012

In 2012, 147.6 million rubles were invested from the federal budget in the main distillery regions of southern Dagestan to support the viticulture and winemaking of Dagestan. In August 2012, Derbent Sparkling Wine Plant OJSC entered into an agreement with the Israeli company AIK-AGROSYSTEMS LLC to equip a drip irrigation system

2009

In 2009, Derbent Sparkling Wine Plant OJSC leased more than 1000 hectares of land for a long-term lease. Grape vines of the varieties Chardonnay, Aligote, Cabernet-Sauvignon, Riesling, Augustine, Rkatsiteli were planted on all lands. All grape seedlings are purchased in Serbia.
