2022: Construction Project Management Automation

The largest network of regional airports NOVAPORT has implemented a project management system based on the ADVANTA platform. This was announced on June 30, 2022 by Advanta Advanta. The network includes 21 airports in cities such as Novosibirsk, Tyumen, Chelyabinsk, Perm, Volgograd, Astrakhan, Kaliningrad, Murmansk, etc. Since 2007, the company has been successfully implementing development projects and programs that bring the infrastructure of airports to a qualitatively different level, which increases their attractiveness for passengers and airlines, operational and financial efficiency.

The company's management's immediate strategic plans include further expansion of the holding's airport network, route network and a set of non-aviation services for passengers. But the timely implementation of the strategy was hampered by difficulties with project management.

Project planning, monitoring, and reporting were done manually using disparate tools. The lack of operational information on the status of projects did not allow to identify deviations from the schedules in time and take corrective measures. A significant part of airport construction projects are government contracts, and failure to meet deadlines means huge penalties. The top management of the holding needed a reliable control tool that allows it to receive information about projects online and identify deviations that arise.

Moreover, delays in the agreement and exchange of documents between the Construction Owner and the General Contractor also negatively affected the timing of the projects themselves. The participants of the project teams needed a single information space for the exchange, coordination and storage of documents with reference to the project schedule.

The introduction of the unified ADVANTA information system made it possible to automate the main processes of the holding on projects for the construction and reconstruction of airports. Collecting statuses and reporting on projects is generated online.

Thanks to the configured dashboards, the holding's management has a complete picture of the status and financing of individual projects and the entire portfolio, can predict risks and respond to them in time.

Work in the system is simultaneously carried out by several independent legal entities - General Contractors, General Designers and Project Owner. A single system allows them to conduct operational and transparent document flow. Already at the stage of trial operation of the system, the exchange, search and coordination of design and working documentation has significantly accelerated, reducing the time for the implementation of the projects themselves. It also eliminates the appearance of uncontrolled document version, you can always quickly find the current version of any required document in the system.
