2022: 3D Construction Printer Announcement

In early July 2022, it became known about the creation in Russia of a construction 3D printer designed for the construction of private houses and high-rise buildings. This is a project of the Tyumen company Energosphere.

According to the developers, high-tech equipment made of domestic components and working on Russian raw materials is capable of printing both external and internal walls and the facade, saving time and labor resources.

Our device has a unique printhead design with three nozzles. This allows you to print walls immediately with insulation, making construction cheaper and faster. We can say that we bet on versatility and compact dimensions. Our printer is like a tower crane. When folded, it is not large - it can be transported by a truck, if necessary, it is easy to remove it from the floor with a crane and put it back, "Aleksey Shkarin, director of Energosphere, told reporters.

The wall printing process itself is as follows: the raw material is prepared in an automated mixing plant, from which it is supplied to a 3D printer installed on the floor. Next, he prints a wall with internal voids. Then a reinforcing frame is inserted into them and concrete is poured. The process is repeated on each floor.

Shkarin claims that as a result, the house is as durable as with standard construction. One floor can be printed in two days. The printer allows you to build buildings five times faster than the traditional method, and for labor costs, a new development is four times more economical, he said.

Two people are needed to manage the printer - an engineer and a handyman. They can replace about eight masons. Taking into account the shortage of personnel in construction, such a decision is optimal, - added Shkarin.[1]
