Experts from the test center of the company "Holsim Russia" have developed a service using artificial intelligence - the technology will help to quickly select binders for strengthening soils. The company announced this on July 13, 2022.

For the fifth year, Holcim has been producing complex mineral binders DOROMIX at its Russian plants. The company's portfolio for July 2022 contains about 11 items of this product. Previously, the recipe for the dosage of the mixture was suggested by specialists from the soil laboratory, who first examined the soil brought from the work site, after which they produced soil-cement samples and determined their tensile strength for uniaxial compression. These manipulations took from two weeks to a month. Now artificial intelligence has come to their aid.

Now the electronic algorithm itself recommends a working dosage for successful stabilization and strengthening of the soil, based on the results of past tests. The algorithm will tell you the correct recipe for the necessary mixture of soil and binder, which will give results that meet the design requirements for construction work. This will speed up the timing of the provision of information and work for at least a month, which will eventually save builders not only time, but also money, as the construction time will be reduced, "said Savely Trembovetsky, product manager at Holsim Russia.

The service based on artificial intelligence will be useful in the construction of warehouses, parking lots, shopping centers for the construction of foundations for the foundation. Also, the soil strengthening technology is used in road construction in the production of the upper and lower layers of the base by the cold regeneration method of the old asphalt pavement. The technology will also serve for infrastructure construction in the process of strengthening slopes.
