Owners

Sportuniver is a platform that unites leading online educational programs and events in the sports field. The creators of the project, according to them, pursued the following goal - to ensure high-quality and effective training of professionals in all areas of big sports: from physical training coaches to heads of professional clubs.

The startup was founded by Yaroslav Savin, Dmitry Zemtsov and Stanislav Yarushin. Savin is the former CEO of the Under Armour chain of stores in Russia, the FC Barcelona football school and co-founder of the Kwiwit children's sports camp search and booking platform. Zemtsov is the author of the course "Management and Marketing in the Sports Industry" on Skillbox, and Yarushin is a TV presenter and former member of the KVN teams "Uyezdny Gorod" and "Luna."

History

2022: Attracting 30 million rubles of investments

In mid-July 2022, it became known about the investment of 30 million rubles in Sportuniver. A group of investors led by the owner and vice-president of the Vologda football club Dynamo, founder of Skillaz Andrey Krylov have invested in the sports EdTech startup. The project was estimated at 200 million rubles.

The startup intends to spend the raised funds on creating new training programs in various sports, building a digital platform for teaching sports professions and competencies, promoting the project in Russia and abroad.

Sports educational platform Sportuniver raised 30 million rubles

By July 2022, more than 50 courses are available on the Sportuniver site - for coaches, athletes (for example, football to English or sports nutrition) and their parents, leaders of sports organizations. [1]
