Creating a site for "Tail News" (project "Valta Pet Products")

Earlier, a mobile application was developed for the project, which helps users find expert information about their pets, learn, and also purchase products. After a successful launch, the customer also decided to create a modern web resource with functionality for pet owners and attract new users using a modern thoughtful interface.

One of the main functions of the web resource is information. According to the idea, both the mobile application and the site help to find the necessary information: how to feed a pet, how to educate him, what diseases a particular breed has, etc.

For the Tail News community, industry experts write the articles. So that the user can immediately find the desired section, a convenient classifier has been added to the main page. Since most often Russians have cats and/or dogs, it is these categories that are shown in the first place.

Calendar of events

Tail News partners often host various events. For the convenience of users, a special section has been added to the site where you can track the nearest event. In the calendar, you can filter events by event location, date, and format.

School of Responsible Parents In this section, users can take online courses for free. To do this, you need to log in to the site. Each course card contains detailed information about the modules and the form of presentation of information. There is also an offline school.

Personal account In your personal account, the user can fill out not only information about himself, but also about his pet. In the "Pet Profile" section, it is possible to add the passport data of the animal, as well as fill out a veterinary passport. We also added the function of creating reminders for the following procedure.

For authorized users, the Coupons and Promocodes sections are available.

Result

Today, the Tail News community site is a modern resource through which users get the information they need, learn and become more responsible pet owners. The company received a site that has integrated internal resources. This is an opportunity to attract new members to your community. Also, the Tail News mobile application, built on the basis of the site, was noted by experts of the All-Russian competition of sites and applications Rating RuNet 2021. The project took 3rd place in the nomination "MEDIA and content."

• Create a personal account with an order process adapted for different types of users and customizing sections;
• Redesign the site structure taking into account the specifics of the industry and the needs of customers;
• Development of a convenient B2B catalog with classifier and content differences for key user types;
• Creation of a new design in accordance with the brand book of Valta;
• Redesign the section for online partner training.

Decisions

The specialists of the company "Fact" conducted a pre-project analysis of the customer's sphere: they worked out and rendered key business processes in the format of diagrams, prepared a terms of reference, including a description of integrations. Also updated the design of the site taking into account pre-project analytics and the concept of the company.

Catalog

• Developed a catalog taking into account the customer's business processes
• Set the order in which sections are displayed for specific types of visitors
• Supplemented the types of filtration, taking into account the specifics of the customer's business
• Added the opportunity for the client to independently generate a list of goods based on the price list in XLSX format and upload to the site
• Developed cross-sale and upsell blocks in the product card

Checkout

The client can place an order not only in the usual way - through adding to the cart. It is possible to download the price list in XLS format. For unauthorized users - with retail prices, for authorized users - with individual ones.

Personal account of the user

• We have developed a personal account with different functionality for several types of authorized users. Depending on the membership in the group, additional opportunities appear.
• Worked out the system of accrual and deduction of points for the loyalty program
• The interface for training Zoobusiness Academy clients has been improved and made more convenient
• Set up the ability to upload order history taking into account sales through an offline channel
