2022: Launch of the corporate online store
Ural Steel launched a corporate online store and introduced a cloud service for effective supplier management. The company B2B-Center (Center for Economic Development) announced this on July 19, 2022.
Since 2014, Ural Steel has been using the B2B-Center electronic platform to purchase a wide range of equipment, components and consumables, as well as various works and services. The efficiency of individual trades reaches 28%.
In June 2022, the plant launched an electronic b2b-uralsteel.ru store for purchases from catalogs of trusted suppliers. Previously, we participated in the creation of a corporate online store (KIM), in practice we were convinced of the effectiveness of this tool and with some improvements introduced it at home. KIM allows us to reduce the approval period, receive individual prices and supply conditions and transfer part of the buyer's functions to the company's divisions within the limits allocated to them, - commented on the innovations Deputy Director for Procurement of Ural Steel Alexander Tsiulev. |
KIM for Ural Steel was configured and implemented in just two months. The project included the migration of the Item and Data Master Data Book, integration with SAP S4/HANA, adaptation of the ordering process to the customer algorithm, expansion of the notification system, and adjustment of multicurrency.
At the end of July 2022, the store has about 3.5 million goods from 81 suppliers in 8 main procurement categories. B2B-Center provides technical support, refinement and updating of the KIM functionality, as well as consulting and training of users.
To admit counterparties to trading on the site and in KIM Ural Steel, the cloud service "Supplier Management" is used. In addition to the standard accreditation and qualification functions, the solution allows you to fully automate the process of checking suppliers, perform regular audits and manage their lifecycle.
