Cross / Distribution frame, DF is a switching field of cut-in contacts for electric connection and mechanical fixings of the terminations of cables, cable elements and conductors, providing switching mainly using the crossing wires and jumpers. Crosses provide connection of multi-pair cables using plinths. Plinths are placed in cabinets / racks or in wall boxes — boxes. Marking on crosses is executed according to the same standards of administration, as marking on panels. In addition to flowers which can be seen on panels (distribution panels and crosses) green color designates city lines. The order of arrangement of pairs on plinths is also defined by standards.
