2022: Creation of a tablet-M-IR

In August 2022, Rostec announced the Tablet-M-IR artillery control complex, which is being installed in the Atlas armored car. The development of technology is engaged in the state corporation "High-precision complexes."

"Tablet-M-IR" is designed to automate the control of MLRS calculations, artillery and mortar units. The system was created as a more modern continuation of the Tablet-A complex, which is already being mass-produced and has a lot of positive reviews, Vladimir Artyakov, first deputy general director of the Rostec state corporation, told RIA Novosti. According to him, the complex can transmit information through interfaced technical means as soon as possible, in less than a minute.

"Tablet-M-IR" can interact with all drones in service with the RF Armed Forces

The military will be able to use the new "Tablet-M-IR" both inside the armored car and outside it. The complex can interact with all unmanned aerial vehicles that the Armed Forces (Armed Forces) of the Russian Federation have. Thanks to this, the commander will be able to assess the situation on the battlefield in real time and adjust the fire.

He explained that the purpose of such systems is to exclude the human factor from the processes of obtaining target designation and conducting calculations before hitting the target, this accelerates the work of units and increases the accuracy of the strike. It takes less than a minute to make all the necessary calculations and give the Fire command, said the first deputy head of Rostec, whose words are quoted by the agency.

By the end of 2022, it is planned to conduct preliminary tests of Tablet-M-IR. The timing of the start of full-scale use of the complex by August 12, 2022 has not been announced.[1]
