2022: Implementation of a digital twin system in three CHPs
On August 18, 2022, the Russian software developer NBI JSC announced the introduction of a digital twin system to increase the accuracy of forecasting and optimization of work in three thermal power plants of PJSC LUKOIL.
The purpose of the introduction of digital twins is to increase the margin income of PJSC LUKOIL from the production and sale of electric and thermal energy of the Volgodonsk TETs-2, the Volga CHPP, and the Volga TETs-2. Doubles are developed within the framework of the IRPK CIS system (information and calculation software complex for supporting the processes of managing the generation of electric and thermal energy and energy sales activities). The effect is achieved from a combination of several factors:
- increase of forecasting accuracy of volume and cost indicators of PJSC LUKOIL TPP operation;
- optimization of operation modes and composition of TPP generating equipment;
- improving the efficiency and validity of decisions made to manage the production activities of PJSC LUKOIL TPP.
Within the framework of the project, the specialists of NBI JSC implemented:
- automatic loading of data from various sources of information: Excel tables, SSiOI and Energy Trading system previously installed by NBI JSC;
- digital models (digital twins) of all three enterprises;
- Setting up settlement modes based on approved scenarios for PJSC LUKOIL's business processes.
Earlier, we have already introduced KIS IRPK for three facilities of PJSC LUKOIL - Astrakhan TETs-2, Krasnodar CHPP and Rostovskaya TETs-2. Thanks to the established interaction, the work was completed in full in an extremely short time. The use of the IRPK CIS system will allow PJSC LUKOIL to reduce fuel consumption and increase electricity generation, which will not only increase the company's profit, but also reduce harmful emissions into the atmosphere, "commented Ivan Korepin, Deputy General Director for Digital Transformation of NBI JSC. |
