Sapsan automatic passport control system is a software and hardware complex based on Russian software and domestic components. Sapsan is an initiative development of GazIntech LLC, implemented largely thanks to the support of Sheremetyevo International Airport and the Border Service of the FSB of Russia.
The system is designed to carry out fully automatic passport control of passengers traveling across the state border, RUSSIAN FEDERATION including for verification, in a biometric information stored passport with biometric data of the owner.
For August 2022, citizens of the Russian Federation aged 18 and older can use the system. ASPK "Sapsan" recognizes passports of citizens of the Russian Federation of the 75th series and higher, which have biometric marks.
