The CA Technologies company announced the new version of the product CA IT Client Manager r12.5 (ITCM) in August, 2010. The offered tool kit will allow to automate a broad spectrum of the transactions connected with daily service of the user working environments both physical, and virtual. Including CA IT Client Manager will extremely simplify inventory of program and hardware resources, delivery and deployment of software, protection of systems and the organization of remote access to them and the solution of other tasks.
The list of the innovations implemented in CA ITCM r12.5 will simplify service of working environments and guarantees more flexible use of a product in heterogeneous environments. Specialists will be able to gain a better understanding about available IT resources thanks to enhanced capabilities of inventory of the virtual systems based on platforms of VMware of ESX, Solaris Zones and many others. Besides, the version of CA ITCM r12.5 differs in support of technologies of virtualization of Microsoft applications of App-V and VMware ThinApp.
One more feature of a product is support of the Windows 7 operating system. CA ITCM r12.5 will simplify transition to the new platform due to automation of the most labor-consuming transactions on planning stages and implementation of migration, drawing up reports and the subsequent service. Including IT Client Manager will help to reduce loads of technicians, to minimize the risks connected with deployment and to guarantee productive work of end users during migration process.
CA ITCM r12.5 also promotes implementation of different "green" initiatives, thanks to a new set of the built-in analytical Green IT components. These tools will allow to study carefully current expenses of energy and to calculate optimal control mode power supply for the different IT infrastructures components.
