Controllers of Moscow Parking began to study in virtual reality. This was reported at the end of August 2022 in the organization itself.
Controllers working in the GKU "Administrator of the Moscow Parking Space" will come to the VR class of Moscow State University under the Government of Moscow and for two hours learn in virtual reality glasses. It is reported that training will be held by 8 employees of the enterprise every day.
As explained in the GKU "AMPP," the project is a complete imitation of the process of the controller's work in street parking: fixing numbers, interacting with motorists, moving along the route and more. Each controller will take two classes to then pass the exam.
It is emphasized that VR training is an additional element of training controllers - all new workers, as before, will also undergo training in real city parking lots. Experienced workers will undergo VR exercises as a prevention and test of their knowledge.
According to Maxim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor in the Moscow Government for Transport, on behalf of Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, the most modern technologies are used when training employees of the AMPP State Budgetary Institution.
After 15 minutes in VR glasses, the brain fully adapts and perceives what is happening for reality. Therefore, with their help, we can prepare a new controller for work in real conditions, and then test his actions before entering the city, - said Liksutov. |
This is not the first VR projects in the field of road traffic in Moscow. Earlier it became about the launch of the program "Training in the skills of fixing traffic rules" for the Moscow Administrative Road Inspection (MADI) using VR simulators. The technology helps to prepare road inspectors to monitor the observance of stop rights, car parking, as well as the rules for transporting passengers and taxi baggage.[1]
