2022: Electric Bike Announcement for Snow Riding

In August 2022, Canadian company ENVO Drive Systems launched the Flex Snowbike electric bike for snow travel.

The announced Snowbike is part of the company's Flex off-road all-season electric bike line. All of them have a common 6061 aluminum alloy collapsible pass frame, which is equipped with various components to create different models.

In the Snowbike model, this frame is combined with a mountain bike-style cushioning fork, snowboard-like skis instead of the front wheel, and a rubber tread with pedals/motor instead of the rear wheel. The 1500W electric motor increases the pedaling power of the cyclist, reaching a top speed of up to 20km/h and allowing slopes with a slope of up to 25%. You can select five different levels of electrical assistance.

The power is provided by a 48 V/17,5 Ah lithium battery installed on the frame, one charge of which should reportedly be enough for 15-50 km of mileage, depending on the terrain and the degree of assistance. These indicators can be doubled by adding an optional second battery. Cyclists will be able to check the charge level on a liquid crystal screen located on the steering wheel, along with data such as current speed and distance traveled.

Flex Snowbike is set to go on sale via Envo's website in late August 2022 for $3,273.^[1]
