2022: Sukhoi Superjet-100 aircraft reliability improvement plan

Specialists of the portfolio company Rusnano - Plakart will increase the reliability of the Sukhoi Superjet-100 aircraft. Rusnano reported this on September 1, 2022.

The company has reached an agreement on the application of high-speed gas-flame spraying on the pistons of the wing flap of the short-haul narrow-body passenger liner of Russian production.

In total, in 2022 it is planned to perform 374 high-tech operations for the Dry Superjet 100 aircraft of four modifications. Work will begin in September.

They will be carried out on special robotic complexes of Plakart's own design with the technology of high-speed gas-flame spraying of coatings based on metals and their alloys: the powder material is heated and applied by jet at a speed of up to 11,000 km/h, which makes it possible to obtain coatings with high density and adhesion strength.

In January 2022, Prime Minister RFMikhail Mishustin noted the need to ensure the complete technological independence of the domestic aviation industry from imported products. It was decided that by 2024 the Sukhoi Superjet aircraft would become completely Russian. Already in March 2020, it was decided to speed up the timing of the creation of an "import-substituted" version of the aircraft.
