2022: Malakhov acquired 51% of the business

TV presenter Andrei Malakhov bought 51% of the Izovela sanatorium in the city of Apatity, Murmansk Region. The remaining shares in SGK Izovela LLC belong to its general director Olga Kharitonova and businessman Alexei Mindel, Vedomosti writes in its September 2, 2022 issue.

The sanatorium, located next to the Big Woodjavr ski resort, judging by the information on its website, includes two buildings with 88 rooms. On its territory there is also a restaurant, a medical center, an indoor pool, a conference room, an outdoor skating rink, a bath and massage complex, etc.

As the newspaper notes, the TV presenter has probably been familiar with Isovela for a long time. Malakhov was born in Apatity, and on the territory of the acquired object there is a non-profit center of contemporary art "Radiance," founded by Malakhov in 2020.

As Marina Smirnova, head of the hotel business and tourism department of the Commonwealth Partnership, told the newspaper, Andrei Malakhov could cost about 300 million rubles. Experts estimated the market value of the object at 500 million rubles.

Co-owner of the sanatorium Alexei Mindel and Andrei Malakhov have a working relationship - the businessman runs the Media Format company, in which Malakhov owns 40%, and 20% to the president of Shkulev Media Holding Viktor Shkulev. Mindel also manages the Shining Center for Contemporary Art, located on the territory of the Izovela sanatorium. Malakhov is a former co-owner of this organization; in 2021, the entrance group to the Izovela park was decorated with works by sculptor Anthony Gormley from the TV presenter's collection.

The purchase of a sanatorium may be profitable: the circumstances of recent years have launched tourist flows inside the country, the popularity of such facilities is growing, Alexey Andreev, managing partner of the Depot branding agency, told Vedomosti. The presence of Malakhov in this sanatorium may add fame to the Izovel brand, the expert added.[1]
