"Petropavlovsk is Ferrous metallurgy" and Business-Navigation company started project implementation of installation and service of GLONASS navigation equipment as a part of a hardware-software set of "AVTOGRAF-GSM" for transport supplied on the mine.

Tasks

Main objective of installation of a system of satellite monitoring of transport is increase in production efficiency, optimization of transport and logistic transactions during the quarrying and delivery of ore to plant.

Expectations

A system which part in addition to hardware software the AUTOGRAPH is will allow to conduct operational management of transport, to control the schedule and task performance. Introduction of the navigation system will lower the losses caused by idle time and inefficient use of the transport equipment and also will increase safety of vehicles, drivers and loads, allowing to keep track constantly of location of transport and to react quickly to any threats (breakdowns, accidents, loss of a route in the unfamiliar area).

Composition

• The controller which obtains data from satellites and transfers them to the server center of monitoring by means of GSM of communication;
• the server center with the software for acceptance, storage, processing and data analysis;
• the computer of the manager conducting monitoring of transport.

Together with fuel flow sensors and an engine operation mode a system provides to the manager the complete information about work of the vehicle.

The universality of a system is that data can be obtained on standard communication channels of GSM 900/1800 by means of technology of packet data transmission of GPRS. Such opportunity allows to use the system of satellite monitoring without creation of difficult communication networks, applying a cellular transmission network.

The special dispatching program allows to perform as operating control behind traffic, engine operation modes and fuel consumption, and to accumulate statistical data for reports of different level. When conducting mining operations a system will allow to manage flexibly technology process, to lower a downtime of the equipment, to reduce operating costs and to increase labor productivity.
