2022: Wireless Broadband Testing Using pLTE

On September 13, 2022, Rostelecom announced that it had tested a wireless broadband network using private LTE (pLTE) technology at the Uchalinsky Mining and Processing Plant (Uchaly, Republic of Bashkortostan). Thanks to the organized infrastructure, employees of the enterprise working in the mine will be able to maintain communication with each other, as well as with colleagues on the surface.

Private LTE - a dedicated wireless high-speed network - allows organizations to securely use data transmission, video surveillance, remote control and other telecommunications services. The controlled digital environment is isolated from public mobile networks, resistant to interference and well protected.
