Municipal Department of Internal Affairs of Altai Krai (Videophones AddPac)

The system of video selector (video telephone) communication put into operation in August, 2010 in the Municipal Department of Internal Affairs of Altai Krai represents a subsystem of office communication which transfers a voice and the image of participants in real time. The video selector allows to organize the different modes of communication: video conference of two subscribers, carrying out video conference on several subscribers, simultaneous carrying out several independent video conferences and also a voice communication of one or several subscribers (the mode an audio conference).

As exchange service stations the videophones AddPac AP-VP300 were selected from the system of video selector communication (in number of 10 pieces). The model has the big touch LCD display (7 inches) and provide video conference with resolution of 640×480 at 30 frames/sec. of AP-VP300 also has broad functionality among which: connection to the external display (for example, TV), connection of the telephone headset, reserve port (FXO) for connection to an analog telephone line, etc.

The central node of a system of video selector communication selected the AddPac AP-MC3000 video server. This MCU provides carrying out audio and video conferences to 32 participants and also processes video and audio streams from all installed exchange service stations. The most important selection term of the AddPac video server was the fact that provided full compatibility of all new (videophones AddPac) and the used earlier exchange service stations (softphones of Polycom of PVX, the system of a group video conferencing Sony PCS-G70P) with each other and from already available branch exchange (production of Alcatel).

At the moment the system of video selector communication is put into operation and is actively used by representatives of law enforcement agencies for carrying out selector meetings, consultations by colleagues, distance learning and other purposes.
