2022: Fine for bribe to the head physician for 1 million rubles

The Vologda company "Antares," engaged in the wholesale supply of pharmaceutical products and medical equipment, was fined 1 million rubles for a bribe. The press service of the prosecutor's office of the Vologda region announced this on September 5, 2022.

According to the supervisory authority, in November 2021, the sales manager of Antares LLC, acting in the interests of the legal entity represented to her, handed over to the chief doctor of the BUZ VO Gryazovetskaya CRH funds in the amount of 345 thousand rubles as remuneration for the conclusion and subsequent execution of state contracts for the supply of medical devices (equipment).

The prosecutor's office of the city of Vologda opened an administrative offense case against the organization under Part 1 of Art. 19.28 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation (illegal remuneration on behalf of and in the interests of a legal entity).

Gryazovets Central District Hospital

According to the results of its consideration by the court, the legal entity was brought to administrative responsibility, a penalty was imposed in the form of a fine of 1 million rubles.

By September 5, 2022, the criminal case against the bribe-taker is being considered by the court. A representative of a commercial organization was not prosecuted because she actively assisted law enforcement agencies in investigating the crime, the regional prosecutor's office added.

According to the information on the website of the Gryazovets Central District Hospital by September 8, 2022, Alexander Turupaev has been performing the duties of the head physician since October 2019. However, his name does not appear in the message of the Vologda prosecutor's office.
