2022: Platform Launch

In September 2022, the founder of Botkin.AI (its AI systems are used in Moscow hospitals) Sergei Sorokin, who recently left the post of CEO of the company, launched a project with partners HeFi.io. It represents a platform where health technology market participants can effectively engage with each other and startups can attract decentralized funding.

The project is based in Dubai and also registered as DAO LLC in Wyoming (USA). Such structuring allows efficient and transparent use of decentralized finance mechanisms, the company said.

The creators of the project launched a special offer for MedTech/HealthTech startups from Russia. HeFi.io experts will audit the startup, issue intellectual property, help attract investments, register a legal entity in the UAE to enter the international market. The operation algorithm is as follows:

• HeFi.io experts create a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) for a medical startup;
• review of the project, audit and registration of intellectual property. Payment for expertise and audit is made in part through a HeFi platform option in a future pre-seed round;
• with the assistance of HeFi experts, an investment pre seed round is announced on terms agreed with the startup. The purpose of the round is to structure the company and enter the startup into the international market. The postponing condition of the round is the registration of a legal entity in the UAE from the round funds;
• HeFi provides registration of a startup legal entity in the UAE with a ownership structure enshrined in the startup's DAO;
• participation of startups in accelerators and contacts with potential clients and partners in the region are organized;
• business missions are being formed to introduce startups to investors from the UAE and Saudi Arabia. The next round of investments is being prepared and closed;
