Uralchem has built an industrial structure in which specialists constantly monitor different metrics: how many products are produced, what is already in the warehouse and what is only transported, through which distributor the supply is going, etc. Previously, the analysis was done manually, which took a lot of time and increased the likelihood of errors. As a result, it was decided to optimize business processes by moving analytics to the cloud platform.

We have carefully studied the market and decided to make a choice in favor of cloud services from Cloud. The deployed system helped us minimize the risk of calculation errors and automate routine processes. If in numbers: our specialists save up to 90% of the time during data loading and up to 70% - in the process of preparing data for digital data services. At the end of September 2022, more than 500 employees use the platform, and the time for preparing a standard analytical report was reduced from 2-3 days to 20 minutes, reported Dmitry Shvedov, Deputy Head of the Digitalization Department of OKHK Uralchem JSC.

Within the framework project of Uralchem, a system based on a cloud platform was deployed. Cloud Advanced It is based on virtual servers Elastic Cloud Server, block storages Elastic Volume Service and RDS databases (Relational Database Service) management platforms. The data service Data Warehouse Service has become the center of the entire architecture. The platform is hybrid, as it consists of local infrastructure and cloud services. The local infrastructure is responsible for collecting from information internal systems and storing the most sensitive data, cloud services help manage computing power and are used for complex calculations.
