Asteros put an IT basis for reliable production "Kimberly-Clark"

On September 1, 2010 the Asteros company completed creation of telecommunication infrastructure at one of the world's largest plants on release of hygienic products of Kimberly-Clark. Within the project it is created by SCS on nearly 500 users, the systems of corporate telephony and a video conferencing which cover the process building of the plant and the Moscow office of the company are implemented. It allowed the enterprise to provide uninterrupted and high-quality IT support of new high technology production.

Specialists of Asteros based on solutions of SYSTIMAX developed and implemented the network of the combined type on nearly 500 jobs supporting all information traffic: voice, data, video and applications of electronic business. For ensuring fault tolerance of infrastructure 100% reservation of communication channels were provided.

On the next stage of the project the failsafe system of telephony which allowed to organize effective telephone communication through IP network is implemented and to provide to users access to the centralized voice applications located on the foreign platforms "Kimberly-Clark". During creation of this system on two objects of Kimberly-Clark 120 digital and 200 Avaya IP phones were involved. In conclusion experts of Asteros equipped the administrative building of the plant with the system of the video conferencing constructed using solutions of Polycom. VKS was combined with the similar system of the Moscow office and the European system in a unified environment of business communications.

Today telecommunication infrastructure of Kimberly-Clark industrial complex is used for work of computer networks, telephone communication and the engineering systems. The unified systems of telephony and a video conferencing help the company with the online mode to hold the operational meetings and joint discussion with remote participation of employees. It increased efficiency of decision making and allowed to cut down communication expenses for 15%.
